Summary of these posts

  After my nine posts,I think all of you have a clearer view of magicians and different kinds of magic.That is meaningful for me.Most people's recognition of magic in Taiwan still stays in the period"大魔鏡".The well-known magician Lu Chen brings a trend of magic in Taiwan at that time.However,except him,people have less understanding of magic.
  I recognize magic is a kind of performing arts.It is not worse than dancing,singing or otherwise.It needs good performing skills,technique and gimmicks.Every part of a magic show is the results of many magicians' effort.Thus,it is necessary for everyone to respect magicians.
   I hope you can treat magic with a new attitude from now on.It is as imiportant as other performig arts.Besides,for me,magic is what I will love deeply for my life time.If I was too old to do magic,I will still be a good audience for magic.

Magicians for Party magic!

Today I am going to write article in a different way.Before this article,I usually choose a magician for a kind of magic and then introduce it.However,I choose to introduce well-known magician about party magic today but there are too many choices for me.Thus,I decide to introduce this kind of magic first.
To begin with,party magic is a kind of magic without limits.Magicians will use some daily objects to play tricks.Besides,as its name,it is for party!It is very good to create a delightful atmosphere.Party magic puts emphasis on the interaction with the audience so generally magicians like to put some jokes into their routine.
The following videos are from 丁興毅 and 蔣昊.You can see their skill of the speech.You will be amazed that even though there is only one audience on the stage,every audience can have fun together!

Cyril:impossible street magic

Cryil,a well-known magician from japan,has impressed every audience he met.Because his mother is a French,he has a exotic face which probably makes him more popular.He is talented at street magic.Many magicians has praised him for lifting street magic to a new level.Street magic is different from stage magic and close-up magic.There is no limit.The audience can watch the show at any direction,in front of the magician or behind him.It really decrease the barrier between audience and magician.

The most famous act from Cyril is "Burger magic."He dressed like a normal man,went to a restaurant,and asked a woman which kind of burger she liked.Then,something amazing happened.His hands approached the menu on the wall and produced a hamburger.Besides,after he bit the burger,he could let the burger vanish and a bitten burger would appear on the menu.

Yann Frisch;amazing cups and balls

  Yann Frisch is a French magician.After getting the first prize in FISM 2012,he became well-known  and now magicians all over the world know that there is a person who can exert the trick"cups and ball" to the maximum.
  If you have read my previous articles,maybe you will feel doubtful that why there are so many first prizes in FISM?Well,it is because the competition is divided into several parts-stage,close-up and etc.He is the first-prize winner in FISM 2012.
  I would like introduce cups and balls this classical magic trick to you.It is an ancient trick.In the 14th century,it was performed by magicians.I think everyone has seen the following picture in the history textbook.

     

  Nowadays,it is presented to people in many different versions.One of my favorite version is from Michael Ammar.It is very clean and powerful.

  I think Yann Frisch has lifted this kind of magic to a new era.He acts as a freak in the show and all the effects happen so naturally.Let's take a look at his show!

  

Han seol hui:a CD manipulator

  Han seol hui,a impressive magician,is famous for his CD act.He is very significant to the magic circle.In 2009,he won the first prize in FISM.He was only twenty one years old at that time.Since then,the trend of CD magic started to overwhelm the world.Every magician imitated him to play CD tricks.I am not exaggerating.To magicians,he is the representative of CD magic.
  His show is very dynamic and the music he chose is suitable to it.When watching his show,you will not feel that he is a magician.He acts as a street dancer,a teenager who loves music naturally.The tempo in his show is another feature.He uses the springy song at first and then slowe down when the softer song is played.In the end,the previous song is played again.The beginning echos with the end.
  Another special point is that after his show,the group who made the song in his show got popularity as him!It is amazing!

Sunny Chen:visual impact!

Sunny Chen,also a young magician from Taiwan,has a distinct performing characteristic.He is not a magician for competiton but a magician for some commercial shows(By the way,I want to introduce two types of magicians.One strives for getting some cases and gets well-known through the shows.The other is diligent in getting good prizes in contests.Similarly,the ultimate goal for them is same-to get more cases XD)

He has participated in some contests and won some awards.He even won two grand prizes(中文:總冠軍)in Japan Sea and Malaysia magic contests.However,he puts emphasis on creating new shows.I think he is more skilled in the magic which allows him to interact with the audience.Maybe that is a reason that he joint in less contests than the shows he has performed.

He is good at controlling the atmosphere.Some people consider that he is imitating Lu Chen.His signature actor's line is "Then comes the visual impact!"This makes him distinguishable.

Po-Han Huang:a poet

Po Han Huang,graduating from NTU,has won many awards worldwide and represented Taiwan to compete in F.I.S.M(I has mentioned this contest in the previous articles.It is seemed as "the olympics of magician")His show is built upon the poet 徐志摩,and he named the act after "再別康橋",which is a famous poem written by this great poet.

The main idea in this show is "story".Like my article in the first week,Xavier Mortimer also adds a story about mirror in his show.They both think that story is good to strike a chord with the audience.

In this speech,he talked about his attitude toward magic.To magicians,we will spare no efforts to "improve" the effects in our show.That is what I learn from this performing art.

Many people have asked him why not study continuously.I think that it is not because he consider degree useless,it is because what he really like will count a lot in his life.

It still need a lot of time to let everyone embrace the idea"One may distinguish himself in any trade."
